Welcome to the 2011-12
Ski Season

We have snow and warm weather...

Tuesday January 31, 2012: We had new snow this weekend and all trails except Corkpine were groomed Monday, Jan. 30. The weather is not cooperating with us, it was in the high 40's today and will be warm all week. The conditions are slow and wet snow during the day. If we do get a freeze it will be icy so ski with caution.
Dave, our groomer can be reached at 231 729-0544.

Our next moonlight ski date will be
Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 7-9 PM
(and will be held regardless of snow conditions!)
The lodge will be warmed with a fire in the woodstove and we will provide desserts and hot chocolate. We will have an outdoor bonfire. Come ski (or hike) with us under the full moon.
The event is free but donations are accepted.

Our "new" used Track Truck! We bought it from the Corsair Trail system volunteers of Tawas MI. Dave Martus and Ken Blakey Shell have been hard at work fixing it up for the 2011-12 season! Below, Dave is tracking, very intently watching for obstructions.

Trail Shelter, outside view. It is open all the time.
Trail shelter, inside view. People often make fires in the woodstove, especially on the weekends. Firewood is provided by the Manistee Ski Council. There may or may not be kindling so you can bring some or find dry sticks in the woods.
